A New Life for Kofi
When Kofi first came to Nurturing Nations, he had some serious health challenges, and some injuries from his previous caregivers. When we received photos of Kofi he looked troubled, unhappy, and like he had suffered significant trauma. We were worried for him.
In August, a short time after Kofi joined our Nurturing Nations family, the Nurturing Nations team was able to visit our Kofikwei school. Many children were happily greeting our team of volunteers, but one boy in particular caught their attention. He radiated joy, his smile was a mile wide, he offered tender hugs, and had limitless love to share. Who was he? Where did he come from? Nobody recognized him. After some investigative work, the team learned this handsome boy's name was Kofi. The same Kofi. But this time, Kofi was happy and healthy and felt loved and safe.
